[glow=red,2,300]Stage 1. Joining Photobucket[/glow]
photobucket.com join nowor
enter account infoif joining for the first time you will have to enter a code displayed in their scrambled box and agree to their terms (incidentally have received no spam from this company)
Eventually you will have a
Current album image page displayed on you screen.
Well done you've completed Stage 1, have a cuppa tea
[glow=red,2,300]Stage 2. Creating Photo Albumns [/glow]
Presuming you have some images on your computer you can now start Stage 2, if they have more than 1Mb of memory per picture, they will need to be downsized (I use Microsoft picture manager but that's a whole new topic) so keep it simple, use a small memory image first. Plus the smaller they are in memory the quicker they upload onto your albumn
a. Left Click the
Browse button on the image page.
b. An auto window link to your computers pictures will be established. (If your desired image is elsewhere on your computer, select the dropdown menu
Look In to locate it)
c. Select the required image by left clicking onto it, it will enter the details on the windows
File named. By clicking on the
Open button, the window disappears and the Computer jargon is auto transfered accross to photobucket
Image info eg C:\DocumentsandSettings......etc
e. Enter some info for your
Description box for ease of locating your images later, in my case i named it,
box of plastic cyclistsf. Left Click
Submit button, this automatically uploads the image. the time it takes depends on image size/broadband etc, the screen refreshes itself once complete.
Hey Presto you've finished Stage 2, go get a stiff drink
[glow=red,2,300]Stage 3. Transfering images to the forum[/glow]
Point to note: Now at this stage i like to be tidy and transfer my uploading images to relevant folders, you don't need to do that at this stage, but as you get more photos and start creating folders and moving images about, photobucket looses the trace of them, annd this means that your image isn't displayed on the forum until you tell the forum where you moved the image too. Confused beyond belief, well dont worry, either
i. create nice neat albums and sub folders now, and once an image has been loaded onto a forum never move it
or
ii. start simple and keep it on the home page, but be warned once you've tidied your album up, it plays havoc with your forum images.
Whatever you decide:
Once your image is where you want it to be on photobucket

c. Open up a new message or modify one of your previous posts, then in the message box. Right click and scroll down to
