Remember this hole in the roof.. When i got it, full of fibreglass When i got home i pulled it out and left it I thought it was about time i sorted it out. Cut out the bad. And make a fresh plate and weld it in the hole Then clean it up with a flap disk as always About an hour and it's all done. It probably took them longer to fibreglass it

Just had a vist from the bloke that'll be doing my interior and this is the story....
The front seats are gonna be re-horse haired and covered the rear seat, over the engine bay is is having new foam and being retrimmed, all the interior panels are get a thin sheet of foam and being trimmed, all new carpet, and the roof lining is being done. The seats are going grey with white piping, the panels are going grey, the roof lining is going white or caramal.. The interior panels are gonna be carpet at the bottom then white piping and then the grey vinyl...

Just about to get the motor back together then realised that the fan housing is a single port one so has no dog house for the stock cooler to fit in which means it's only a single port cooling fan.. my ratty panel van is gonna have show winning tin in it now... 8) Here's my new tin all been blasted and 2k blacked.. Cheers Andy.

Both heads back on and valve clearance's done. But the problem i have is that the bloke i got it from said it had hydraulic tappets but alot of people said it's alot of wor to do it so it probably hasn't, but in this case it has got them and cos there's no oil in it they are spongy has hell so i'll need to run it up then cheack the valves to make sure all is alright.

Gearbox, axle tubes and rear hubs/bearing are all bolted in handbrake cable fitted, rear brakes adjusted and bled and clutch cable fitted.
Just need to wrap and fit the exhaust, clean and fit the carbs, fit the twin port fan to the alternator and fit the alternator, make the flame thrower HT leads up, fit the tin ware then bolt it all in

Had it running on the drive for about 20mins while talking to Carl and it just died didn't splutter or anything so thought it must be electrical while checking out the electrics the dizzy started to smoke big time electronic ign is now burnt out so chucked points in and it runs again but now have lost the brake peddle and couldn't be arsed to look at it may be tomorrow.. But i did open the safaris wnem i turned it round on the drive

Well well i bled the whole brake system and they work fine now, so i took her down the road and i think the 009 dizzy that a MATE lent me doesn't seam to be advancing correctly so it sometimes it splutters and backfires when you boot it. So i'll be ordering a new electronic ignition and whack it in the old dizzy and hope that works..
Still and the ass end out though

All probs sorted out now took her out for a good blast and all seems pretty good.. Popped to Andy's house and on the way i thought i give it some in first and second with abit of arse end action through some speed calming shevrons (30mph) then as i straightened i saw a high vis jacket then the police car then the speed gun .. And on the way back he stopped me this time i was only doing 20-25mph all he said was you only have one headlight . He didn't say anything about no tax disk, no rear bumper, no rear valance, engine lid wont shut just flaps in the wind and the mondo sticking out a good half a foot .. He ask what it was like to drive something old and slow i just said you get used to it. Then booted it off up the hill away from him
